Dusty Kid - America

It's august, the weather in the UK is kind of typical at the moment, it rains then its sunny then it rains then you get blown away in a gale then its nice again etc etc, this is the summertime that i've come to know and love. There isn't really a point to the story. Anyways I Came across this track from Dusty Kid, amazing.

Do you have a video you like to play on youtube a lot? this is mine. The song is by the Red House Painters, I've posted about Mark Kozelek before (read back) it's a great version of the song, slower than the original. The second reason it's amazing is because it's from the french film A la Folie... Pas Du Tout, with Audrey Tautou, need I say more.

Cass McCombs

Cass McCombs has been quietly creating some masterful albums for the last few years. I picked up Dropping the Writ a few years ago and was instantly drawn to the hazy dreamlike quality of his music. It's a 'close your eyes and your taken somewhere else' sort of sound.

From the perfect That's That, to my favourite Windfall, with it's simple yet sweeping ethereal melody.

This is You Saved My Life, from Catacombs which came out last year. very very nice.
